Ctrip: The best vertical player

Ctrip has been working in theonline travel market for six years and has a strong reputationthere, but its presence in the fragmental market is still weak.Chinese online travel companies face many challenges: buildingnative hotel networks; the lack of transparency in the market withnumerous players; shaping the brand reputation in mass traditionaltravel industry; diverse demand from business customers,etc.

According to China Online Travel research report 2005 released byAnalysys International, hotel reservation is the major business ofonline travel, accounting for 64.96% market share, it is the mainincome for Ctrip.
 
Anyway, a good, meaningful andauthentic travel experience was carried by Trip and Elong. Ctrip isstill the best player in vertical web industry. The most importantIn is that in this difficultmarket Ctrip has earned money.
