Sina is becoming old.

Sina is the biggestvendor of china online advertising market, and advertising is hismain income( 58%, 2006 Q3). According to china online advertisingannual report 2006, Analysys International, Sina occupied 22.66%market share.


Affected by policy adjustment ofmobile carriers, another important business, mobile VAS (accountfor 38.86% of total Sina revenue, 2006Q3) would become sluggish. SoSina put more forces on advertising business, increases spendingand enlarge advertising scope, like online videoadvertising.

 

But as the growth point, online ads are affectedby macro economic environment. I forecast 2007/08 the entire chinaeconomy speed will slow down, so online ads bubble will disrupted.Some facts from my TV station survey convinced my judgment, annualCCTV ads bidding is just one swindle. The data is true, but winnercan not buy in it after bid, because advertisers have less and lessbudget. Fortunately I write these with English. Wish no one couldfind it.

 

So, my conclusion is that Sina is becomingolder, this situation is his fate, his business model. His shareprice was controlled by macro-economy and government policy.Anyway, Sina will still be the biggest online ads playerin2006/07.
